Cybercrime cases are increasing continuously. Despite spreading awareness, somehow or other people are getting trapped in the trap of scammers. Recently, a case has come to the fore from Delhi where a person lost his hard-earned Rs 9 lakh by clicking on an unknown link. In fact, a Delhi man had applied for an online work from home job so that he could earn extra money, but in the end he was duped of Rs 9,32,000 by scammers.
According to ANI report, Harin Bansal, a resident of Pitampura area of Delhi, was scrolling on social media where he came across a post which talked about work from home job and claimed to get good money. To collect more information about this post, the person clicked on the link from where the link directly redirected to WhatsApp. Here an unknown person asked Harin Bansal to register on a website.
On this website, Harin Bansal was asked to deposit money and then withdraw it so that he could get commission on it. In the beginning, when the person did this, he got commission. When the scammer felt that Bansal was convinced of the work, he asked Harin Bansal to add more money to it. When the person added about 9 lakh 32 thousand rupees in the website, then he could not withdraw it and then Harin Bansal felt that he had become a victim of scam.
After this, Harin Bansal told the whole matter to the police and lodged a report against unknown people. On the spot, the police arrested two people in this case, in which a person named Ankit and Sudhir Kumar are involved. Police said that the mastermind of this scam is still absconding.

This is not the first case where scammers have made people their victims in this way. Even before this, many people have offered their hard earned money to thugs due to their search for a job. Especially during the Corona period, more such cases came to the fore because people had applied a lot for work from home jobs at that time. After Corona, people are now looking for work from home jobs only and scammers are taking advantage of this thing to fool people.
Never trust any person or link online so that you do not become a victim of such fraud. Whenever the matter of transaction or earning money is coming up, always collect the complete information first and only then take a decision. Never register on any link or website or app without complete knowledge.
